Safe Fleet Announces Acts of Kindness Campaign for 2019 National Bullying Prevention Month

BELTON, MO (October 2, 2019) – Safe Fleet’s United to End Bullying (UEB) program announces a new initiative this October to honor National Bullying Prevention Month. The company is hoping to inspire people to end bullying by spreading kindness through a month-long Acts of Kindness Campaign. Details on how to participate and ‘Take the Pledge to be Kind’ can be found on the United to End Bullying website.

“We’re taking a break from our annual coloring and poster contest this year with a goal to engage a broader audience in our efforts to stop bullying,” explains Lori Jetha, UEB Program Executive Director. “We hope that everyone in our communities will join us to end bullying by spreading kindness.”

Throughout the month of October, employees at all Safe Fleet locations will show their commitment to the cause through weekly kindness activities, starting with Blue Shirt Day on October 7th. A social media campaign will run from October 2-31st, entering anyone who takes the Kindness pledge on the UEB web site and shares their Act of Kindness online into a random draw for one of five $50 Amazon gift cards. Each act of kindness shared and tagged #UEBisAoK or #SFActsofKindness equals one entry into the draw.

“We would encourage any school, non-profit, community group or inspired individual to join us to help exceed our goal of 300 Acts of Kindness in 30 days,” adds Jetha. “The more we take action to pay kindness forward, the closer we get to ending bullying in our communities.”
