The Material Handler/Shipper is responsible for handling and processing all types of material received into the warehouse. They are responsible for ensuring that materials are maintained in their proper location and are available for use when needed, while accurately processing paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy. 


Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Process and record daily shipments in ERP system
  • Utilize UPS/Fedex/DHL and LTL software for shipments
  • Prepare required documentation for shipping
  • Coordinate and schedule freight pickup with carriers
  • Load outbound freight
  • Issue call tags as required
  • File end of day shipping documents
  • Process material and inventory transfers as needed
  • Assist the teams with preparation for conducting physical inventory / cycle counts while conducting daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Assist as needed in warehouse activities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping systems
  • Forklift certified
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle high volume of work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel
  • Experience with LTL and import/export regulations will be a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
