Foundry Supervisor

About The Position

We are currently looking for a results-oriented Foundry Supervisor with at least five (5) years of recent relevant experience in running a highly efficient Foundry. This person will have a dramatic impact on implementing new process and procedures in regards to management of projects and work orders. Direct maintenance of all Foundry equipment; inventory and accessories in the Foundry area by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

·              Maintain and give updates to the shops production schedule.

·              Communicate all work in progress and inform upper management of potential problems with agreed deadlines.

·              Work with the planning team to establish work schedule which reflects the shop capacity.

·              Coach and train operators to make quality parts, safely.

·              Provide training in production, in-process quality inspection, material handling, equipment safety, and hazardous materials.

·              Plan jobs and preventive maintenance to fully utilize the foundry resources, and monitor employees and equipment to ensure they are running at optimal efficiencies.

·              Sort and dispense of non-conforming materials in accordance with established Quality Control guidelines.

·              Increase production and quality, decrease scrap, and constantly improve processes.

·              Continuous process improvement, lean, 5S

·              Provides additional support to the department as needed.


Experience

·           Strong people manager with a proven record of team building

·           Strong leadership skills including the ability to prioritize

·           Experience with IBM AS-400, Infor XA

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
