JOB SUMMARY

As a Field Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in introducing new capabilities and products to the field. You’ll collaborate closely with lead customers, Engineering, Support, and Sales to ensure successful deployment and adoption of innovative solutions. You will report to the Director of Deployment and coordinate daily activities with a project-specific Engineering Project Lead.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with firmware and cloud application software teams to introduce improvements that meet the needs of the client
  • Act as the first point of contact for the customer for technical support issues
  • Perform software upgrades and other technical tasks on-site with the support of remote team members
  • Update and research recommendations for product and system improvements
  • Engage with stakeholders as required to refine/clarify business requirements and feedback
  • Interact with end users to solve problems, augment the system functionality, and improve the user interface
  • Work with the firmware team to develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modifies logic in existing applications
  • Solve or recommend solutions for complex issues and problems
  • Assist in the training of customers on systems applications
  • Drive the creation, review, and submittal of technical support documentation updates
  • Ensure that resolved incidents are properly documented
  • Other duties as assigned

New York Pay Transparency: $95,000 - $110,000 USD Annual

This is the base salary range for this position in New York City, in accordance with local pay transparency laws. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors including skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.

  • Candidates at the lower end of the range will meet the core qualifications and demonstrate strong potential to grow within the role.
  • Mid-range offers reflect a solid match with the role’s technical and collaborative requirements.
  • Offers at the top of the range are reserved for candidates who bring exceptional qualifications, specialized expertise, or unique value that significantly exceeds the baseline expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience, ideally in application engineering
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience in designing and developing software applications is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel across the United States and Canada as needed
