The Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for assembly, testing, and inspection of cables, harnesses, and wire assemblies according to specification and work instructions

  • Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
  • Measure, cut, strip, and terminate wires and cables using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Crimp, solder, and assemble connectors, terminals, and related components.
  • Perform cable routing and bundling to create harness assemblies.
  • Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and automated equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and quality checks on finished assemblies.
  • Affix labels, logos, and other exterior details to products
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.
  • Follow 5S according to environmental policies
  • Follow company quality standards, ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in cable or wire harness assembly is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is desirable.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
