As we continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Installer who can also assist with front office customer service as needed.
Job Summary:
The Installer / Customer Service Associate is a hybrid role responsible for the installation of van and truck equipment, as well as providing occasional front-desk support to ensure an excellent customer experience. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation Duties (Primary Role):
- Install commercial van equipment (e.g., shelving, partitions, ladder racks) following company guidelines and safety standards.
- Read and interpret installation instructions, technical drawings, and vehicle specifications.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and shop environment.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of installation supplies.
Customer Service / Front Office Duties (Secondary Role):
- Greet walk-in customers and direct them appropriately.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding products, installation scheduling, and order status.
- Assist with work orders, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks using internal systems.
- Coordinate with the sales and installation team to ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Help maintain a professional, customer-friendly front office environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of mechanical or installation experience preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed both in a shop environment and occasionally in an office setting.
- Must be comfortable with occasional interaction with customers in a professional manner.
- May be required to work occasional overtime or assist with off-site installations.
