About The Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Implementation Project Manager (IPM) plays a pivotal role in providing expert technical project planning, management, and oversight for key initiatives and implementations. This position requires ensuring that all initiatives are strategically aligned with the Safe Fleet’s objectives and are delivered within established timelines, scopes, and budgets while maintaining the highest quality standards. The IPM is responsible for optimizing the balance of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout the project lifecycle. The IPM will oversee the entire implementation process, which includes project planning, timeline management, troubleshooting, conflict resolution, and client hand-off. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a liaison between customers and Support, Deployment, Installation, Product Management, Engineering, and Production teams.
  • Manage all project parameters and deliverables from initiation to successful closure.
  • Clearly define the scope, goals, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for each project or initiative.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations; collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to develop a Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Actively participate in contract negotiations and reviews.
  • Delegate and monitor daily tasks for technical personnel, ensuring alignment with established milestones.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress and address any project-related inquiries or challenges.
  • Generate comprehensive status reports and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage conflicts between internal teams and customers and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle and maintenance phase.
  • Execute qualitative risk analyses.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations for projects prior to completion
  • Travel for onsite customer visits, presentations, and project kick-off meetings.
  • Undertake special projects or additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary graduate with a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in a related technical or engineering field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proven expertise in project management processes, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Strong strategic, operational, and managerial competencies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of hardware, software, and networking solutions, particularly with Wi-Fi or cellular communications.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment characterized by shifting priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Experience working in the public transportation sector, vehicle equipment rollout is preferred
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence and Salesforce is preferred
