Job Description



The IT Specialist is involved with systems design and integration with existing customer infrastructure and software. This individual will be responsible for investigating, documenting, assessing, and resolving complex software and hardware problems that arise for the Safe Fleet Video Group customers while also migrating customers to newer software platforms and performing software installations and updates in complex environments.


Responsibilities


  • Provide installation, update and migration services for Safe Fleet Software Solutions, Microsoft-based workstations and servers, and Red Hat Linux servers.
  • Update and/or migrate customer servers which at times will require SQL scripting. 
  • Maintain expert-level functional knowledge of Safe Fleet Video Group technology products.
  • Provide customer support and technical issue resolution via phone, email, and other electronic mediums.
  • Train customer IT staff on relevant operating, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 
  • Train customer end-users in basic operation of Video Recording equipment and Management Software.
  • Provide support and execution of Customer Acceptance Deployment Testing and Validation.
  • Assist with research, development, and testing of new technologies and features.
  • Generate documentation and knowledge transfer to other departments for relevant information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing relevant tasks as required.
  • Create configure and maintain users and device owners in the MDM.
  • Participate in security threat risk assessment processes, identification of risk and advisement, identification of necessary deliverables, and mitigation of vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Facilitate information security assurance audits and reports audits (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2 vulnerability assessment, penetration tests, etc.), including analysis and provision of risk-based advice for business areas.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field of study or equivalent combined education and experience
  • MCSA Certification (Windows Server) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with design/implementation of Microsoft server 2012, 2016 networks, Active Directory implementation and support, Exchange Server/Office 365, network security concepts, sub-netting, routing, and hardware support (servers, workstations, switches, routers, and firewalls).
  • Experience with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools, creating advanced co-relation rules, administration of SIEM, system hardening, and Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of implementation and management of IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, and other security products.
  • Minimum 3 years IT experience in a SW/HW support environment.
  • Knowledge of APP handling on mobile devices.
  • Previous mobile device management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Administration tools: IIS, Active Directory and DNS.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and command line.
  • Experience with website administration, IIS and .net applications.
  • Experience with SQL Database administration and manipulation skills for data migrations, queries, reports, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL server.
  • Familiarity with Cloud computing and storage (AWS or Azure).
  • Familiarity with digital video, including transcoding and redaction is desired.
  • Proficiency in Layer 2/3 Networking, including VLANs and Routing is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability/availability to occasional travel.
