As we posted in July, Specialty Manufacturing, a Safe Fleet brand, is relocating from Pineville to Charlotte, adding 25-30 full time positions. The move is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2015.
Specialty Manufacturing is the leading manufacturer of crossing and stopping arms for school buses. Their new facility, located at 13501 South Ridge Dr. in Charlotte, will allow Specialty to meet an increased product demand and the resulting need to have a more open floor plan.
In addition to manufacturing safety products for buses, Specialty also markets a variety of products for rail cars including interiors and lighting systems. Interviews for the manufacturing positions are scheduled to take place in October and November.
