We are also building more robust AVL/Fleet Management software with added features such as turn-by-turn software that will redirect based on real-time traffic and road condition events.

The Power of the Safe Fleet Platform is driving the following innovation for School Bus customers:

• ADVANCED ANALYTICS INTEGRATION – THE PREDICTIVE STOP ARM™
  The coming year will see even more integration options for the Predictive Stop Arm (PSA), which monitors oncoming vehicle traffic for probable stop arm violations and issues audible and visual warnings to bus operators and students when the risk from passing motorists is elevated. The solution will soon integrate with video surveillance system notifications, video marking and reporting. Integration with the PSA will provide deeper insight to the location and frequency of stop arm violations enabling school districts to adjust routes as needed.
• ROBUST AND WELL-ROUNDED AVL AND FLEET MANAGEMENT
  Our AVL and Fleet Management solutions will offer users enhanced navigation functionality with integration to operations and transportation planning. Unplanned road conditions that dictate re-routing will be seamlessly handled using the rules a transportation department is already using in its core Safe Fleet transportation planning software. Integration with video streaming brings even more situational awareness to fleets equipped with real-time data plans.
• ENHANCED SYSTEM HARDWARE
  Video recorders will substantially increase user functionality without substantial cost increases. Our recorders will support 1080p inputs, H.265 compression and integrated WiFi. New, HD cameras will provide better fields of view, capturing higher quality video than ever before.
• DRIVER VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORTS (DVIR)
  Our new pre- and post-trip inspection tool provides verified inspections without the need for specialized RFID tags or readers. Gain insights on when the inspection occurred, how long it took and the status of each component.
• THE ABILITY TO PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS
  As a school bus customer, even if you don’t currently have a video, transportation planning or AVL and fleet management solution from Safe Fleet, you are likely already a Safe Fleet customer through our vast array of safety solutions on the market today. Having a Safe Fleet system of any kind enables enhanced operational efficiencies — we’ve focused on ensuring our systems talk to each other as well as third party offerings.
