United Against Bullying’s 2016 “Kindness is Cool” Coloring Contest Announced

Bear with sign-cyanSafe Fleet is excited to announce the annual United Against Bullying Coloring Contest. The contest is sponsored by Safe Fleet and its subsidiaries to encourage a conversation about kindness and bullying with youth. This year the theme is Kindness is Cool.

The Contest runs from September 1 – October 31, 2016 and is open to all school-age children in the US and Canada. One winner will be selected from each of three age groups: 5-7, 8-10, and 11+. Winners will receive a Kindness is Cool medal, a United Against Bullying button, a Build-a-Bear certificate, and a small mascot bear (Buddy the Safety Bear). The school or organization submitting a winning entry will get an award of $500 towards an anti-bullying initiative.

All school districts and organizations working with kids are invited to download and distribute the coloring sheet, encourage coloring, and submit the finished works-of-art. It is our hope that this Contest creates an opportunity to talk about bullying: what to do if a child is being bullied or if kids see someone being bullied, to speak out against it, where to get support, and how being kind makes everyone feel good. Teaching empathy and kindness stops bullying.

Please visit the following link for more information on prizes, rules or to download the coloring sheet, unitedtoendbullying.com/contests/.

Downloads for the coloring sheet and contest flyer are also available on the right.

Please visit the United Against Bullying pages on Facebook and Twitter to Like, Follow and Share with your friends and family.

We wish everyone a happy time coloring, talking, and inspiring kindness!
